Keithley Lake & Associates, Daniel Brantley & Associates Announce 2012 Scholarship And Bursary Recipients

Keithley Lake & Associates and Daniel Brantley & Associates, Attorneys-at-Law, have selected their 2012 scholarship and bursary recipients from the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica. For the sixth consecutive year, two outstanding students who displayed remarkable academic achievement, extra-curricular participation and community service have each been awarded J$175,000 (or approximately EC$6,000) to assist in completing their respective legal educations.

Keithley Lake & Associates Daniel Brantley & Associates Scholarship and Bursaries

In September 2006, Keithley Lake & Associates together with the law firm Daniel Brantley and Associates (Nevis) jointly funded a scholarship in their names at the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica.
The scholarship is awarded annually to two second year students, one from Jamaica and one from the Eastern Caribbean based on scholastic ability and economic need.

Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Celebrates 40 Years

The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court is celebrating 40 years of service to the Eastern Caribbean states. The Court was established in 1967 by the West Indies Associated States Supreme Court Order No. 223 of 1967. It is a superior court of record for nine Member States, six independent namely, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and three British Overseas Territories namely, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Montserrat.

Bertram Anderson, a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School, is the 2007 recipient of the Keithley Lake & Associates & Daniel Brantley & Associates Scholarship.

Mr. J. Emile Ferdinand, Chairman, Council of Legal Education announced at the Presentation of Graduates on Saturday, September 30, 2006 that the law firms of Keithley Lake & Associates and Daniel Brantley & Associates have jointly funded a scholarship in their names at the Norman Manley Law School. The scholarship will be awarded annually to two second year students, one from Jamaica and one from the Eastern Caribbean based on scholastic ability and economic need. Applications are now open at the Law School.
