KLA & DBA Scholarship 2008 Recipients

Life as a student in the present realities of the Caribbean economy can be near impossible at times, particularly for students pursuing a legal career.  The study of law not only takes a toll on time and ability but certainly finances as well.  In response to this, Keithley Lake & Associates, Attorneys-at-Law of The Valley, Anguilla and Daniel Brantley & Associates, Barristers & Solicitors of Charlestown, Nevis, are pleased to announce that two scholarship winners have been selected to receive awards for the 2007/2008 academic year.

BERTRAM Anderson, a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School, is the 2007 recipient of the Keithley Lake & Associates & Daniel Brantley & Associates Scholarship.

EC Supreme Court Celebrates 40 Years

The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court is celebrating 40 years of service to the Eastern Caribbean states.  The Court was established in 1967 by the West Indies Associated States Supreme Court Order No. 223 of 1967. It is a superior court of record for nine Member States, six independent namely, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and three British Overseas Territories namely, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Montserrat.

KLA & DBA launches Scholarship

Mr. J. Emile Ferdinand, Chairman, Council of Legal Education announced at the Presentation of Graduates on Saturday, September 30, 2006 that the law firms of Keithley Lake & Associates and Daniel Brantley & Associates have jointly funded a scholarship in their names at the Norman Manley Law School.
